Passive voice 

is a form of sentence where the subject accepts the action, not taking action. Unlike an active voice that focuses on the party carrying out the action, this form focuses more on the party or object that receives the result of an action (the recipient of the action). Passive voice is a form of sentence where the subject of the sentence receives the action, not taking the action. Unlike an active voice that focuses on the party carrying out the action, this form focuses more on the party or object that receives the result of an action (the recipient of the action).

Active Voice

Active Voice (Active Sentence) is a sentence whose subject is doing something or doing a job. In Indonesian, the characteristic of the active sentence is that the verb always begins with "men" and some have the prefix "ber-". In the active voice, we only need to use the basic form of the verbs in composing the sentence.

Rumus Passive Voice

Let's first understand the formula in active voice which has a transitive verb:

Subject [actor] + Verb + Object.

Then, when it is converted into a passive voice, the object is moved to the front to become subject, and the old subject is moved back to "by agent".

Subject [target] + BE + V3 + (by agent)

One important thing to differentiate between active and passive is the verb pattern. In passive voice, the verb always ends in a BE + V3 pattern. Without BE + V3, you can be sure the writing is wrong. Look at the following examples:

S + V (verb according to the tense) + O

Example:

Active voice: I eat a pear.

Pasive Voice

1. to be + V3 and the word by (this word is not a condition that must be in the passive voice)

2. What can be used as a passive sentence is Verbal Sentence (a sentence whose predicate is a verb / V)

3. Verbal sentences that can be converted to Passive Voice (passive sentences) are sentences that have a              patient object.

Active Voice

1. In the active sentence the subject takes action directly on the object.

2. Active Sentence has a pattern of S-P-O-K or S-P-K. The predicate for the active voice always starts with      the affix Me- or Ber-.

3. The active sentence requires an object, after getting the subject predicate plus a complement or description.
