Definition 

In type 2 it also describes a condition that might occur but it is very unlikely that these conditions can be met.

In this supposition it also refers to the present state (Present). An activity that will occur if the present situation is different.

Dalam type ke 2 ini juga menjelaskan sebuah kondisi yang mungkin saja terjadi tapi sangat tidak mungkin kondisi tersebut dapat terpenuhi.

Dalam pengandaian ini juga mengacu pada keadaan sekarang (Present). Sebuah kegiatan yang akan terjadi jika keadaan dimasa sekarang (present) berbeda.

(Past Hypothetical Conditionals)

Describing a supposed situation in the past and could not have happened because it had already passed. The clause if accompanied by the past perfect.

Mendeskripsikan situasi pengandaian di masa lalu dan tidak mungkin bisa terjadi karena sudah berlalu. Klausa if ditemani oleh kalimat past perfect.

1. If Jane did not come, you would go find her.
   (Jika Jane tidak datang, kamu harus mencarinya.)
2. If the admission fee were cheap, we could get inside.
   (Jika tiket masuknya murah, kita bisa masuk ke dalam.)
3. If I won the competition, Lily would be envious of me.
   (Jika saya memenangkan kompetisi itu, Lily akan merasa iri terhadap saya.)
4. If I were you, I would slap John.
   (Jika saya adalah kamu, saya akan menampar John.)
5. If I were a plant, I would love the sun.
   ( Jika saya adalah tanaman, saya akan mencintai matahari.)
6. He might come to your house if you prepared snacks.
   (Dia akan datang ke rumahmu jika kamu menyiapkan makanan ringan.)
7. He would go there if you allowed him.
   (Dia akan pergi ke sana jika kamu mengizinkannya.)
8. If we were late, we could not enter the class.
   (Jika kita terlambat, kita tidak bisa masuk kelas.)
9. If I found her, I would give her a hug.
   (Jika saya menemukannya, saya akan memberikannya pelukan.)
10. If I had a plane, I would travel around the world.
    (Jika saya memiliki sebuah pesawat, saya akan keliling dunia.)
